Feasibility Study 2024
In November 2023, the Town Council commissioned The Retail Group to complete a feasibility study on the town of Elloughton cum Brough. This was funded through a grant awarded by the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund. The final results of this study were completed in March 2024. Following from this, the Town Council have held several meetings to discuss the findings and next steps. The full feasibility study completed by The Retail Group is now published here for residents to read should they wish as well as a short overview of actions completed by the Town Council identified by the study.

Christmas Lights Switch On
What a Christmas to remember we made for 2024!
Our fantastic annual Christmas Lights Switch On event was held on 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 at The Half Moon Pub, Elloughton. As always, we brought you lots of festive cheer, delicious food options, handmade crafts and fabulous local entertainment. -

This area has been transformed to provide a place to sit, reflect and relax.
There's still more planting to go in, but for now, please feel free to use the space and enjoy at your convenience.

D-Day 80 Beacon Lighting Ceremony
D-DAY 80 BEACON LIGHTING - Thursday 6 June 2024, we came together to commemorate 80 years since the heroics of the D-Day landings.
Joining the rest of the UK, as well as several other nations, in marking this event, we paid tribute to those who lost their lives during WWII. -
D-Day 80 Afternoon Tea Dance
What a fantastic turnout for our D-Day80 Afternoon Tea Dance! We'd like to say thank you to some very special people, without them, this could never have been possible.
Hep to the Jive, Patrick Killgallon Blackburn Leisure , the wonderful ladies from The Petuaria Cafe and Elloughton W.I., Regal foods, Mrs Blee for the delicious scones and the Elloughton-cum-Brough Town Councillors.
And a big thank you to all those who came along! We really hope you had a marvellous time and well done in raising money for the British Legion too!

Kid's Summer Fun HAF Programme
A selection of activities, including Theatrecraft, weaving and block printing, manga art and DJ masterclass were part of the East Riding of Yorkshire HAF programme where parents can book funded places for children and young people who are in receipt of benefits related free school meals and go to school in the East Riding. There are also a limited number of places on all programmes for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) awarded by the local authority. During the summer holidays, parents will be able to book up to 16 funded places. A meal is provided at each session.

Easter Egg Hunt 2024
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday 30th March 2024 between 12pm and 3pm.
Entry to this event is FREE with clue sheets available at the start of the trail at Elloughton Play Park, Elloughton Road, Brough.
12 eggs will be hiding around Elloughton and Brough, each one painted with a secret word. Find all 12 words to add to the Easter poem and come back to collect your prize!
With food, drinks, and activities available throughout the afternoon, you're sure to have an EGG-cellent time year after year!

Four Weeks of Free Fun!
Having been successful in securing a grant from 'Do it for East Yorkshire', we are proud to announce that we are launching an amazing opportunity for all children aged 5-12 who live in the Elloughton-cum-Brough area.
We have teamed up with some amazing activity providers such as First Step Sports Crafty Cat Events and Gary Hammond Percussion, to deliver a programme of after-school activities across a variety of venues in our area, including sports, crafts, games and music workshops over the course of four weeks.
The programme will also include a Holiday Camp during Half Term during the hours of 10am until 2pm, with other sessions throughout that week too.
And the best bit? It's all absolutely FREE! -
The King's Coronation 2024
All residents of Elloughton-cum-Brough were cordially invited by the Town Council & Blackburn Leisure, to a celebration for the Coronation of King Charles III
Sunday 7th May 2023 between 12pm and 5pm at Blackburn Leisure club.
Including live music, games, competitions, children's activities, @fantasticfaceshull face painting, bouncy castle and lots of sporting demonstrations and taster sessions for everyone to take part in!
We had plenty of food vendors coming along to cater to all tastebuds and drinks can be purchased at both the indoor and outdoor bars.
