Queen's Jubilee Beacon Lighting Ceremony

  • High Road, Elloughton High Road Elloughton United Kingdom (map)

Elloughton cum Brough Town Council will be holding a special Beacon Lighting Ceremony on Thursday 2nd June 2022 – from 9.15pm onwards on High Road, Elloughton. The event will be part of a country-wide celebration in which 1,500 beacons will be lit in recognition of the Queen’s service, bringing communities across the globe together to pay tribute. We will have the pleasure of welcoming Pipe Major David McRobb who will be playing a piece called ‘Diu Regnare’, a traditional piping piece and in addition to this, we will also be welcoming Rachel Miller, a local cornet player who will recite ‘Majesty’, a piece which has been especially composed for this special event.

Attendance is free and we would advise getting there in plenty of time as accurate lighting times need to be adhered to. Please also be aware that this is a standing event.
