Building work is under way to install ‘The Jungle’ from Playscheme for children at Elloughton Road Playground.
The project, which is being funded by a £15,544.00 grant from FCC Communities Foundation as well as additional funding of £4114.98 by Elloughton cum Brough Town Council, will provide, once it is opened in the next few days.
Cllr Chris Duckles, Chair of Elloughton-cum-Brough Town Council Environment Committee is excited that the new equipment is on site and that the project is starting to take shape. He says: “It’s great to see our vision for this vital community facility moving closer to reality. We are extremely grateful for the funding FCC Communities Foundation has given us and we’re looking forward to seeing it open for the children to enjoy.”
FCC Communities Foundation is a not-for-profit business that awards grants for community projects through the Landfill Communities Fund.
Cheryl Raynor, FCC Community Foundations local grant manager says: “It’s wonderful to see something we have funded starting to take shape on site and we look forward to work being completed and ready to be enjoyed by the local children.
