Brough Haven Car Park Closure - 16th May 2022

Please note that the Brough Haven car park will be closed from 7am Monday 16th May for approximately 10 weeks. Due to reopen no later than the afternoon of 22 July, if no unexpected problems arise.

The closure is for both footway and carriageway works on Saltgrounds Road which is being carried out by ERYC Highways Department. The area will be used to store non-hazardous materials and will greatly reduce the costs of the work and alleviate time delays.

Parking Suspension signs will be installed early this week to advise regular car park users of the reason for its closure and duration. The car park entrance will be fenced off to stop vehicles, but access will be maintained to those on foot/bicycle to the public right of way and picnic tables. The Environment Agency will be allowed access if required during this period.

Road Closure - Skillings Lane, Brough

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

Skillings Lane, Brough

Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding 20 meters either side of the level crossing on Skillings Lane, Brough between the hours of 23:00 - 08:00 commencing 19th June 2022.

This notice is to allow works to be undertaken by Network Rail on Skillings Lane, Brough.

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 9 hours.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via:

Skillings Lane, Saltgrounds Road, Station Road, Welton Road, Elloughton-cum-Brough CP, Dale Ward

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
