Remembrance Day Colouring Pages for Windows

This year the traditional formats to mark Remembrance day will not be able to go ahead due to the ongoing Covid-19 social distancing rules.

The Town Council thought it would be a nice idea to pay our respects by colouring in the poppies on the link below and placing them in your windows alongside the NHS Rainbow. https://www.colouringheroes.com/remembranceday

We hope you will enjoy taking part in this and we welcome you to send pictures of the poppies in your window to Elloughton cum Brough Town Council at admin.assistant@elloughtonbrough-tc.gov.uk.

Elloughton cum Brough Town Council participated in the Great British September Clean

We’re proud to be supporting and participating in Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British September Clean. Elloughton cum Brough Town Councillors, Cllr Luckraft and Cllr Hakes, along with East Riding of Yorkshire Ward Councillor, Cllr Meredith and the Town Clerk, Philippa Beverley and Deputy Town Clerk Danika Lynch collected 5 bags of rubbish from the Burrs and Welton Road area whilst participating in the Great British September Clean.

There is still time to get involved – host a private clean-up of up to 5 family or friends or pledge to do your own litter pick up to the 27th September. You can register your group of up to 5 at keepbritaintidy.org/gbspringclean .

Be part of the pick

The Great British September Clean
11-27 September 2020

This September, Elloughton cum Brough Town Council are joining forces with Keep Britain Tidy and calling on you - our #LitterHeroes – to do your bit to care for the environment on our doorstep, as we join forces to collect and safely dispose of litter from our country's streets, parks and beaches.

So join us, as we stand together and declare that litter – which degrades the beauty of our environment and threatens to harm wildlife – is not acceptable.

There are three ways you can get involved and show support for our Great British September Clean:

1.    Organise a private group clean-up with up to five family and friends

2.    Or you can pledge to do your own individual litter-pick. Whether its 15 minutes while you walk the dog, or on your lunch break, any time you can give will make an immediate impact to the environment on your doorstep.

3.    Help inspire others to take part by making some noise about the campaign on social media. Share your good news stories, videos and pictures using the hash tag #GBSeptemberClean

Right now, a lot of things are uncertain, but our passion for tackling litter and our love for the environment will not falter.
